The new bird seed catcher is called the SeedHoop. and it comes in 2 sizes. A 16″ diameter works best for smaller, or globed shaped and tube feeders. And the 30″ diameter tray is for larger hanging, or hopper style feeders.
They are light-weighjt, fold for easy storage, and extremely well manufactured. They’re made to last season after season of wild bird feeding. Some trays are constructed within the feeder’s cage, or they attach directly to the botton of of a tube feeder. But with the SeedHoop, there is flexibilty, they are totally adjustable, to allow for platform feeding of different species who may not frequent the bird feeder itself. Seed Trays Save Birdseed and Money
If you enjoy backyard birding, and use hanging bird feeders, you likely know about the mess they can make in gardens and yards. We seem to hang our feeders within view of a home window, so we can enjoy the feathered friends we feed. Adding seed trays will eliminate most, if not all of the mess below feeders.
Some seed catchers or trays, are within the feeder’s construction, while others are external. The seed tray shown above also serves as a platform, thus creating additional feeding space for other birds, maybe even species who won’t use the feeder itself. The expenditure is minimal, compared to the amount of seed you’ll save over time.

Try A Seed Tray to Prevent Ground Mess
A versatile little wild bird accessory, the seed tray is usually overlooked and under estimated!
If you’re tired of the mess below bird feeders, including sprouting weeds, take a closer look at this. A seed tray that is adjustable to any hanging bird feeder. Available in two sizes: a 16-inch diameter for globe shape or tube feeders hung from poles or shepherds hooks, and a 30-inch diameter for larger hanging feeders. They’re called SeedHoops, and are made from durable PVC mesh and nylon.
The great thing about this type of seed tray is that it actually “adds an extra feeder” by creating a platform where spilled seed accumulates. Additional birds who may not eat from the feeder itself will venture onto this generous feeding area to feast on spilled birdseed. By saving seed, you save money too!
